Hamararo is a washed lot from Ethiopia’s Sidama region, showcasing the bright citric acidity and delicate character that coffee from this area is renowned for. It marks the beginning of a new partnership with producer Tamiru Tadesse of Alo Coffee. Tamiru Tadesse is the founder of Alo Coffee, a pioneering exporter rooted in Ethiopia’s highlands. With a background in engineering and a master"s degree, Tamiru brings a sharp, analytical lens to coffee production. His bold investment in a high-altitude washing station paid off when he won 1st place in the 2021 Ethiopian Cup of Excellence. Today, he’s known for pushing boundaries in processing and quality, with coffees featured on global competition stages. Deeply committed to community empowerment, Tamiru supports local farmers with training, seedlings, and fertiliser, believing that exceptional coffee begins with well-equipped, knowledgeable producers, and a supported community. One of the most famous coffee producing countries, and widely considered the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia is a country of stories, traditions, and history. Today, Ethiopia is the fifth largest coffee producer in the world, renowned and revered for producing exceptionally high-quality crops.
