Organic & Fairtrade Indonesia Sumatra Mandheling has a very dark roast with notes of berries and dark chocolate. This coffee is 100% Arabica, comes from the Permata Gayo co-operative, and is processed using the Galling-Basah method unique to Indonesia. The roast is described as very dark and smoky, packed with a punch. The coffee maintains interesting notes despite its strong flavor profile. The co-operative ensures traceability throughout the supply chain, improving consistency and quality. The beans are dried to three different humidity levels to create a raw coffee with a slightly blue hue. This single-origin coffee is roasted through the beginning of the second crack, resulting in a suitably smokey brew.
