Kilimbi coffee originates from the Kilimbi washing station in western Rwanda, on a small island in Lake Kivu. This specialty coffee is a product of a seven-year partnership with around 150 smallholder farmers. The unique microclimate and high elevation of the island result in the production of only 500 bags per year. The coffee offers a clean, elegant cup profile with refined acidity, featuring tasting notes of raspberry, cola, and black tea. Ideal brewing recommendations include using an Orea brewer with a coffee to water ratio of 1:15 and fresh filtered water at 94-95°C. This Rwandan coffee is known for its vibrant flavors and is processed through the washed method.
